    Work Culture at Precision

A company is only as good as its talent pool. We have a great team of people who believe in and live by our vision. Our unique work culture fosters and encourages creativity, productivity and innovation. There are certain fundamental beliefs and principles which guide our work culture. Here they are in no particular order -

  • You have to be in love with what you are doing.
  • You must be focused to deliver best as the word 'best' has no room for ambiguity.
  • The things we hold in highest regard is INITIATIVE, WILLINGNESS, CONFIDENCE, WILL POWER, LOYALTY, DISCIPLINE, RESPONSIBILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY and DEDICATION. These are no small words.
  • If you want to change something, get up and get it done.
  • If you do not feel like working, go out and have fun. Do not force yourself to work when you aren't giving it your best.
  • Do not resist change.
  • Feel free to walk up to ANYONE and discuss ANYTHING. Hierarchy at Precision exists to divide and organize work, not to close doors.
  • Every Precision Sniper (especially Managers/Leads) must ensure that their door is always open to everyone. This is meant as a metaphor and not just in the literal sense. Therefore along with an open door, each individual should also have an open mind to listen to other colleagues, accept feedback positively and make any relevant changes.
  • A Precision Sniper always values criticism more than praise. We are always looking at ways to improve our selves, our work, our knowledge, our attitude and everything else.
  • Be willing to accept feedback from anyone. That is the only way to constantly improve. Always keep in mind that anyone giving you feedback is doing you a favour. They are actually taking the time out for your improvement.
  • Keep an open mind to ideas. Nobody is perfect and that includes you. If people are providing feedback, or making a suggestion, they most likely have a point. Do not disregard feedback or dismiss ideas offhand.
  • As an organization as well as an individual, be transparent and straightforward. Diplomacy, politics and hidden agendas are not a part of our culture.
  • Honesty is the best policy (cliché but important)
  • Trust everyone unless proven otherwise.
  • People make mistakes. It is not important to dwell on the mistake, but rather on the corrective action taken to ensure the mistake does not repeat again.
  • This company belongs to YOU. Treat it that way. Keep that in mind in all your actions.
  • Work smart.
  • Innovate. Think out-of-the-box. At Precision, we encourage creative solutions.
  • Wear whatever you are most comfortable in (except when a particular occasion that calls for a particular dress code). However the first impression team which includes front desk and marketing & sales team or any other team member must wear formals whenever meeting clients.
  • Academics and hard work play a certain role, but in the end Performance and Productivity are what count.
  • Compete with yourself everyday. Comparisons with others are irrelevant. What is relevant is how much better you are today as compared to yourself yesterday.
  • You may be working in a non-tech department. However knowledge of technology can only help you perform your function better.
  • Use minimal paper. No this is not an ecology drive (that is just a fringe benefit). At Precision we have a penchant for automation. We automate everything. Automation helps us scale. Learn to build processes that involve maximum automation and minimum paper.
  • We are very process oriented. We have processes for everything. Processes allow us to maintain quality, efficiency, and productivity while scaling. Follow processes. If changes are required to any existing process then change them at will but make sure the changes are documented and communicated. Create processes for any task/activity.
  • READ in your free time. We cannot emphasize enough how important this is. Books are the best way to gain knowledge and we have many of them. If you need a book that is not in our library simply order it through the front desk.
  • At PRECISION, WE are a highly motivated and confident team having capability to deliver under any circumstances.
  • We work for PRECISION and our call sign is SNIPERS, that explains how we work and how we deliver.
  • We understand that there is a fierce competition around, hence we constantly hone and improve ourselves to excel in whatever we do.

    Life at Precision
Life is good at Precision. We've got what business pundits call "a laidback work culture." Don't get us wrong, we work hard and we put in the hours, but we make sure we're having fun doing it. We've found that enjoying our work actually makes us more productive. There's no quantitative third party analysis to support this belief, we're just doing what works for us.

We have no qualms rewarding good work. Rewards as in bonuses, incentives, holidays, happy hours, etc. Major holidays, and some minor ones, also get proper recognition. And, of course, there's our penchant for special events to launch initiatives, which is borderline obsessive-compulsive.

    Different is a Good Thing
We're about as equal of an Equal Opportunity Employer as you can get. It's what makes us tick the way we do, having people with different backgrounds, different beliefs and different approaches. We're a diverse group of people, but that doesn't mean we'll just let anyone in the place. There are a few prerequisites. You have to be pretty darn sharp. You need to like working hard. And you better love what you do, because we need you to. Good hygiene is always a plus.

The above tenets are very important to us and our organization. If you find anything in your daily work routine that contradicts the fundamentals laid out in this document, change it, or bring it to our attention. Live by the principles above. Read them frequently. Reinforce them amongst your team members, colleagues, superiors, subordinates as often as you can.

Give your best shot to whatever you do.
We believe that EFFORTS come prior to RESULTS.
We have a simple policy out here - You take care of Precision and Precision takes care of You.
